The joint JOC and Het Jensen Genootschap stand at the 2006
Le Mans Classic
Both clubs have attended this event from the start, if you haven't been before then I can certainly recommend it, they have visitors from all over the world with some fantastic cars (especially if like me you are a Facel-Vega fan).
Thanks to John and Caroline Donegan for all the hard work they put in to organising the trip. All the Jensens behaved faultlessly (which was probably due to the fact that we had enough spares to cover almost every eventuality even taking a main rear spring leaf). Alan Smith did have a chance to get his fingers dirty with an Interceptor which wouldn't accelerate from stop smoothly due to a faulty vacuum advance.
Steve Johnson aka Mr Cool!
Stopped in Normandy discussing the route
Jensen (and ex-Jensen) owners doing their bit for the French petroleum industry
John Donegan after a couple of laps of the circuit with his SP
Steve Johnson and family (they remembered to unload their camping gear before
going on the track this time!)
Jensens just in off the track
Sebastian Charles enjoying his Jensen-Healey
This confused a few people! Unfortunately Peter Thompson's SP was off the road
so had to use a twin turbo SD1 to tow his GT40.
Something louder than my FF!
Happy campers......or is that knackered campers?
Ton Verdoorn's Interceptor and J-Hs of Trevor
Hanson, Paul Koopal and Jan Theodoor Drenth
My FF II and John Argo's FF III
Little and large BRG
Jensens coming in off the track
Ian Fields and Nicole Livingston-Smith
Malcolm Young's TVR, Peter's SD1, Zac's C-V8 and a 541.
I'd meant to get photos of the other Jensens and the competitors but was too busy enjoying myself....
